The 3rd trimester starts

Its been a good 6 weeks since I've posted last, and I've had a ton of requests for some new pictures. Sorry to those who have been waiting, I haven't been in the photo mood lately. Today I finally got the nerve to give the camera to my dh to take some shots of me. Its hard for me to imagine that I'm going to keep getting bigger.

The nursery is starting to feel like a baby's room this week. The crib and changing table arrived, and we were able to set up the room some more. I have pictures I've made to put up on the walls, but I haven't decided what order or where to put them yet. Once I have those up, the bed skirt and bumper on the crib, and the rocker in the room, I'll take some more pictures to show you the whole set up.

If you didn't already see the quilt on my mother's blog, check out the cutest crib quilt ever hanging on the side. I received this quilt on my birthday, and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm so happy with the fabric we found from Ikea with all of the accessories. We even found some stuffed animals that matched to put in the crib for now. Another birthday gift I got from my mother is this adorable onsie. The soon to be daddy likes this one the best.

We just couldn't wait....

So this whole time my hubby and I have been telling everyone we were going to wait to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. Well the day of the ultrasound came, and our curiosity got the best of us. So for those who don't know already, we are having a boy! We are thrilled, and the soon to be daddy is starting to get excited. We don't have a name picked out, but we are starting to play around with some. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to help us out.

At 21 weeks my belly has popped out now. It's starting to feel like my tummy is getting larger and larger every day.
I don't know how he did it, but my DH convinced me to start taking pictures showing the belly off without the shirt down. I'm personally not a huge fan of this picture, but he thinks its better so I decided I'd show it off to all of you.
I did take a good trip to Ikea recently with my mother, and had a blast picking out a bunch of stuff for the baby's room. So about a week ago, I cleaned out all of my craft projects and started setting op the room. We don't have much furniture yet, we are waiting patiently on the crib from dad, but I was able to throw curtains up and rugs down. Here is a few pictures, so you can get the idea of the color scheme we are going for.

4 weeks later....

So another 4 weeks have passed, and its time for the monthly picture. Now that my belly is starting to get bigger, it was time for me to pick up some maternity clothes. I've always been a big fan of shopping (like most ladies), but shopping for maternity clothes is another story. It is not so fun. I did end up with a few cute shirts though.
On another note, yesterday Hubby and I threw a superbowl party with a bunch of our friends. I decided to cook a few things, and I think I may have gone a little over board. Not only did I make a bunch of food, our friends brought some great food too. Even this hungry pregnant lady couldn't eat enough to make a dent in this food.
The one item I couldn't get enough of were some brownies I made, along with the spinach dip Big A brought over. Thanks to my mother, I found the recipe for the brownies, also known as brookies at www.bakerella.com. You need to go check it out, they are chocolate brownies mixed with chocolate chip cookies. I wish I had a better picture of them, but the rest of them got sent home with friends so I would stay away from them.

A little behind...

Ok, so I know I told all of you that I would post weekly pictures of myself on here so you could see my belly growing. Well, my belly doesn't really grow that much in a week right now, so for now, it will be monthly pictures. If your lucky I might blog about other things in between too. And now, with no further introduction, here is me at 14 weeks prego!

The last 4 weeks have been really rough, but thankfully I think I'm done with the sickness part of being pregnant. Last Friday was our last doctor's appointment, and we were able to hear the heart beat for the 1st time. Its starting to all become so real, who would of thought I could create something inside of me. It makes me think of a saying my sister saw "I'm so crafty I can make babies." I think that might be my new motto for now.

Ultrasound!

Monday was the big day, and my hubby and I got to see our peanut for the 1st time. The doctor did change our due date on us, and moved it to July 5th. Who knows, we might end up having a little firecracker on the 4th of July! Here is one of the ultrasound pictures, you can't see the heart in it, but at the office it was beating very strong.

1st appointment!

So now it is official, my hubby and I are expecting our 1st baby. We went to our first doctors appointment yesterday, and the Doc said everything looked great. My due date is June 30th, and I'll be 11 weeks on tuesday. We get our 1st ultrasound on monday, and I'm really excited about it, my hubby says maybe a little to excited. Anyways, if I get to take home a picture I'll try to figure out a way to post it on here, but no promises. Here is a picture of me at 10 weeks though. Not the best picture, to me it just looks like I'm fat, but hopefully soon it will look like a real baby belly. I did promise a few people I would post weekly pictures of myself on here, and my DH has no objections of being the photographer. So with only 30 more weeks to go, there will be a lot more pictures on here for you to laugh, smile, or even cry at. Lord knows I never know which reaction I'm going to get each week.

Now I can't go ahead a post this entry without posting some pictures of our furry baby. The poor thing doesn't know whats coming, and I hope he doesn't get to jealous. In these pictures he looks huge with his big ol' noggin. Well he is huge, but maybe not quite as huge as he looks in these pictures.

A Day at the Fair!

Kentucky state fair was in big swing this summer again, and my hubby and I had to make our yearly trip to indulge in games, shows, exhibits, draft beer and best of all, the food.
We 1st caught a show of dancing and singing pigs, silly I know, but cute at the same time. My favorite was Chestor, he was the singing pig in the sunglasses.

After the show, we walked around the exhibits, and I spent the most time in the quilt exhibit. I found some I really liked, and some that looked impossible to make. Here are some pictures of quilts I saw, one was made by the same fabric and blocks as one my mother made. That picture is for her.

These were beautiful aren't they? Maybe some day I will have something to enter into the fair.

Next we went onto the games, my hubby and I were going to try to win a stuffed animal for our big baby, Leo. He loves to chew up anything with soft fabric and stuffing. Hubby tried his hand at the beebe gun, and I threw some skeeball. And look what I won..... (Leo is currently tearing this guy apart) I feel kinda bad for the guy, he was really cute, but hubby wouldn't let me keep him.Now that I am done with the activities we did, here is ALL the food we ate. Yes it was allot. We started with my all time favorite when we got there, gyros. They were soooooooo good, nothing beats a fair gyro. Later we went to separate booths, but both enjoyed different foods on a stick. Once you add "on a stick" to your fair food, you know its going to be 10x better. I went with the classic, corn dog on a stick, but hubby went for pork butt on a stick. Don't tell Chester, but it was really good. Then of course right before we left we had to get everyones favorite from the fair, and I will leave you with a picture of this wonderful pastry.
